Currently three of us get together for an informal meeting once a week to support and encourage one another. We each need to drop a few pounds by eating better and we hope to get in better physical shape through exercise. This isn't just a diet to lose weight quickly (only to put it back on again) but we are trying to change our lives and our families by developing healthy habits.

In our meetings we focus on three things:
God - by reading a scripture or a devotion. We pray for one another and the struggles we may be having.
Support - This isn't a competition we are working together and helping one another. We share what's going on in our lives that may be affecting our eating.
Habits - bad habits got us where we are. We're working on replacing the bad ones with good habits.

You're welcome to follow along with us. You may want to consider forming your own support group. All you need is a friend or two, a place and time to meet and a commitment to support one another.
